Nalusaca is an independent art residency based in Sardinia, Italy.
Founded by artist and photographer Mino, Nalusaca was created as a space where artists can slow down, experiment and develop new work in dialogue with the landscape and rhythm of the island.
Located in the small town of Ales, in central Sardinia, the residency offers artists time and space to focus on their practice away from the noise of larger cities. The surrounding territory, with its fields, volcanic hills and quiet villages, naturally becomes part of the creative process.
Nalusaca hosts artists working across different disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and installation. Each residency becomes a moment of exchange where conversations, meals, walks and studio time shape the development of new ideas.
The Nalusaca online store extends the life of the residency. It is both an opportunity and a platform for Nalusaca artists to share their work with the public.
Through the store we present a selection of artworks, drawings, editions and objects created by artists connected to the residency. Many of these works are produced during or around the residency period.
Every purchase directly supports the artists and contributes to the continuation of the residency.
Nalusaca is built slowly, through collaboration, curiosity and freedom.
